Security Controls during the 60th Anniversary of The PRC in Beijing

As you may also be aware that the 60th Anniversary of The People's Republic of China is coming very soon. To celebrate this important event, the national parade will be held at Tian'an Men Square on October 1st 2009. In this instance, there will be very tight security control and restrictions in Beijing:

  • You must carry your ID card or passport while on the street especially at night time.
  • All trucks from other provinces are restricted from going into Beijing from September 15th to October 1st.
  • All buildings including hotels located on and near Chang An Street where the national parade is being held will be under top security control from September 29th to October 1st.
  • The national parade rehearsals has been scheduled on September 18th and our Beijing office will have to be closed that afternoon for security reasons.
  • Our Beijing office will also have to be closed in the afternoon on September 30th due to security control.

With these security control and restrictions, there will be delay in handling shipments into and out of Beijing before and during the 60th Anniversary celebration.
