"Canada D'eh!" is the annual event of The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong to celebrate Hong Kong-Canada connections and to raise the profile of their dynamic community and active business environment. When China claimed back the sovereignty of Hong Kong after June 30th, 1997, Hong Kong has evolved into a very tightly integrated economy with China and this evolution is history. The nature of this evolution is one of opportunity and one where people have anxieties and feel some sense of risk. It defines much of the relationship Canada has shared with Hong Kong over the last 30 years as Canada saw an enormous period where Hong Kong people migrated in large numbers prior to 1997.
